A dirty solar panel can lose up to 30% of its efficiency; We recommend having your solar panels cleaned at the very least, once a year.
Solar panels are a great way to save on energy bills. The more light that hits a panel, the more power it will generate. Solar panels are prone to bird droppings and a general build-up of dust and dirt. With the Pure Water Fed Pole Technology our soft brush heads clean safely without the need for chemicals.
Our experience ranges from cleaning of domestic roof-mounted solar panels to large scale solar panel installations at business parks and industrial estates.
Solar panels should be cleaned regularly to avoid build up of debris even when it may not be that apparent to the naked eye. This debris can become embedded and difficult to remove if left too long. Eventually it will lead to staining of the surface of the solar panel, this significantly and permanently reducing the efficiency of the installation.
Depending on your location, we recommend cleaning solar panels at least every six months and if you are close to a busy main road or farmland, perhaps quarterly. Certain weather conditions can also leave a coating of dust, similar to the Sahara sand deposits that you see on a vehicle. This can become quite hard and encrusted. You'll notice a drop in output of your solar panels.
